We Believe
We Believe
We believe that God loves each person on this earth. We believe that we can demonstrate our love for God by serving others. We believe that all people who share a faith in our Creator and a gratitude for his blessing, can share a common ground of kindness, compassion and service to those around us.
It is our sincere prayer that Dayenu Ministries will be known for our service throughout the community. We consider it “service evangelism.” We do not lose sight, however, that our ultimate purpose is to advance the Word of God and build His Kingdom.
The Dayenu Ministry founders hold the teachings of the Bible as our guiding principles. In a time where society is attempting to remove every fabric of God and His teachings, Dayenu Ministries is advancing our work and servitude for the cause of Christ!
We have adopted five scriptures that bring into focus what we are endeavoring to achieve. Below, are some scriptures that summarize the foundation of our beliefs.
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, as He already existed in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking the form of a bond-servant and being born in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death: death on a cross. (Philippians 2:3-8)
What use is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. (James 2:14-17)
Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. (John 5:24)
…and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:8-11)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6)
